Dr. Andrew Catron

Dr. Andrew Catron is originally from Oklahoma City.  After completing his undergraduate work at Oklahoma State, he attended Medical School at the University of Oklahoma where he subsequently did a residency in Family Medicine. He worked as an Emergency Room physician but realized that his true passion was Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He returned and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Oklahoma and then practiced for one year in Seattle, Washington before coming to Colorado in 1993.  He practiced for twelve years in Colorado Springs where he started and built what is still the largest and most successful OB/GYN practice in the area.

Dr. Catron was the chairman of the OB/GYN department at Penrose-St. Francis Hospital for the last four years that he practiced in Colorado Springs.  He then moved to Denver where he has worked for the past five years as a senior instructor of OB/GYN residents and medical students at Denver Health.  Over the past several years, he has made several trips to Nepal to perform surgical repairs for patients with uterine prolapse, a particularly common problem in Nepal.

Dr. Catron and his wife Tracy have had a home in Summit County for the past 16 years and are glad to now be full-time residents here.  They have six children.
